The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists traveling I-76, both eastbound and westbound, that detours will be in effect between Exit 247 (Harrisburg East) and Exit 266 (Lebanon-Lancaster). This will occur from 11:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 25 to 4:00 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 26.

The weekend detours are needed to safely remove and install bridge beams at milepost 251. This work is being done as part of PennDOT's SR 283 project.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike (Interstate 70/76) is scheduled to be closed Eastbound only, between the New Stanton Exit #75 and the Breezewood Exit #161. The closure will begin Saturday, January 5th at 11PM and re-open to traffic by 5AM Sunday, January 6th. The closure is required for bridge beam erection and is weather permitting.
